Wanda Carter

Wanda Faye (Linahan) Carter "Mer", age 65 of Lake Point, Utah passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at home surrounded by her loved ones of a long-time illness.

She was born May 21,1957 in Valdosta, Georgia to Leland Q. and Mary Linahan. She married David Carter on June 4,1974 in Valdosta, Georgia. She graduated from Lowndes High School in 1975, where she enjoyed playing basketball. She was a kind, loving, mischievous mother, wife, and grandmother. Playing card games with family, seeking new adventures, and collecting new pieces for her beloved Christmas Village will be just a few things that she is remembered for.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years David; son Wayne, significant other Alecia; son Aaron, wife Rachael; 6 grandchildren Hunter, Tatum, Bella, Ali, Hailey, and Dean. Brothers Leland Linahan(deceased) wife Kay, Thomas P. Linahan, Willie J. Linahan and wife Pam, Robert J. Linahan and wife Kay, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Hahira, Georgia.

There will be a small service Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 am at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah. The viewing will be from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. She will be laid to rest at the Lake Point Cemetery.
