Susanne Rogers

–

Draper, Utah

Susanne “Susie” Renee Rogers, 44, left this world in the early morning of September 1, 2026, following a sudden medical emergency, the cause of which is still unknown.

Susie was born on June 4, 1982, to Aldythe “Renee” Harris and Vahl Ross Mills Jr. She grew up alongside her 3 brothers—Steven, BJ, and Cary—and her best friend Minda. Together, mischief and mayhem were the way of life. Attending the same schools, bound to be taught by the same teachers, a heavy sigh was let loose seeing the next of the Mills siblings roll through the school, ending with her. Whether it was gathering the neighborhood kids to play war with their parents’ guns or shoving each other in the dryer or hide-a-bed couch, they were all involved in activities that they knew they probably should not be. One thing stood during her childhood—they were always there for each other.

Above anything else, she valued family. Having her eldest son---Danyle--at 17, she did everything she could to support him, giving him the world whenever she could. A few years later, she met her husband Brian whom she loved until the day she left us. Together, they had their two sons Lance and Braxton. Doing everything she could to spread her love, she would often claim her sons’ friends as her extra kids. She had a knack of bringing in those that had trouble at home, making everyone feel as loved as she could. This led her and her husband to later adopt their daughter Grace. Even before she was officially her daughter, she loved her as if she were her own, taking her everywhere with her. She wanted to be a grandmother above all else, even claiming in the children of those she claimed as her bonus kids as her own grandchildren.

Along with loving everyone around her, she loved her dogs. They were not just pets to her, but also her children. Taking in strays without a home, or adopting them from other families, it did not matter as long as she could take them home. Once they were hers, she loved them as fiercely as possible. If someone were to hurt her dogs, it was an attack on her family, and they were bound to face her wrath.

Susie is survived by her husband Brian, her children: Danyle, Lance, Braxton, and Grace; her parents: Ross and Renee; her brothers Cary and Steven; her best friend Minda; her many bonus children, bonus grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She joined her brother BJ in heaven and was greeted by her dogs Yager and Rocky. My mother was the light for so many people on their darkest days. I know she is watching all of us, with her dogs and brother, waiting for the day we will meet again.

A celebration of life will be held on October 24th at the Lex Apartments in Tooele County at 6pm. A private viewing was held for her husband, children, and parents.
