Susan Kay Sharp
March 31, 1951 – August 1, 2026

Longmont, CO- Susan Kay Sharp (Suzi) was born March 31, 1951, in Manhattan, Kansas. She was the cherished first daughter of her Scottish-Welsh-Irish parents, Dean Filer and Alice Kearns Sharp. Suzi and her family lived in Manhattan, Kansas, Vernal, Utah, Durango, Colorado, Miles City, Montana, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and finally in Denver in 1965. She lived most of her life in Colorado. Suzi attended junior high and high school in Denver and college at CSU in Fort Collins. She worked as a dental assistant, in the medical insurance business, and in commercial real estate.

Suzi brought light to many people- family, friends, and co-workers. She loved being with people and was always kind and a lot of fun. She was very accepting of everyone, never flinching to befriend people regardless of whom they were. She loved unconditionally.

Suzi was a great cook and homemaker. She had a very good eye for beautiful things, art and furniture in particular. She loved spicy food and ceviche!

Suzi died at home in Longmont, as she wished, with her husband Mark Queripel by her side. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Mark, sister, Sally Sharp (Lee Jepsen), many nieces and nephews, cousins, and her friends. Slainte, Suzi.
