Shaunna Storey

Shaunna Lynn Storey, age 58, passed away at her Tooele home on Tuesday June 16, 2026.

Shaunna was born March 12, 1968, to Jerry and Darleen Ashton of Morgan, Utah. She was the oldest of three siblings. She graduated from Morgan High school where she participated in many activities including track and volleyball. She went on to attend Snow College where she continued in her most joyed activities. She was married to her husband Aaron Storey of 36 years in the Salt Lake temple in June of 1990. She brought three children into this marriage Nicole Lynn Storey, Alica Aaron Storey, and Karsten Aaron Storey. She cherished spending her time with them and raising them into the adults they are today. She especially enjoyed visits and playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed running and participated in many 5k races in the Tooele and surrounding areas where she received many medals for her accomplishments. She enjoyed working hard and had many jobs over the years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had many callings over the years but enjoyed her callings working with children the most. She had a way of making them feel special. It was one of her many special gifts.

She is preceded in death by her Father Jerry Everett Ashton. She is survived by her husband, Aaron; her three children and their partners, Nicole Lynn Storey (Chasine Erickson), Alica Storey (Dalton Hillyard), and Karsten Storey; her two grandchildren, Easton Erickson (8) and Levi Hillyard (4); her mother, Darleen Ashton; and her two siblings, Jay Ashton (Amy) and Sondra Nelson (Ryan).

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 691 East Cedarview Street, Tooele, Utah, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation prior from 10-10:45 a.m. Followed by interment in the Tooele City Cemetery.
