Sarah Ann Woodruff Voss

Sarah (Sally) Ann Woodruff Voss passed away on March 20, 2017 in Salt Lake City, UT.  She was born April 6, 1931 in New London, CT.  Sally is survived by her children Clifford (Cheryl) Voss of Stockton, UT; Caren (Chuck) Schulz of McAlester, OK; Mary (Colleen) Knudson of Kearns, UT; and Carl (Shannon) Voss of Castle Rock, CO; two brothers, Frank (Janice) Woodruff of Peabody, KS; and Michael Felcher of Manchester, CT; a sister, Roberta Guertin of Norwich, CT; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and grandson Cody.  Sally and Carl were married January 12, 1952 in Pomfret, CT.  They resided in Vallejo, CA until 1962 when they moved to Tooele, UT.  Sally worked as a baker at Albertsons for many years prior to her retirement.  Sally loved to crochet and was well known for the many blankets, scarves and Christmas tree skirts and stockings she made for family and friends over the years.  She and Carl also constructed many award winning dollhouses.  She was an avid reader but perhaps her greatest joy was playing BINGO.  Sally was a well-known fixture at the Tooele BINGO establishments.  She also enjoyed the occasional bus trip to Wendover with her friends from the Tooele senior citizens center.  She was a grand lady and will be loved and missed by many.  A funeral Mass will be held March 30 at 11:00 AM at St. Marguerite’s Catholic church.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St Marguerite’s church/school.
