Rowena Bryan Madsen, our loving mother, grandmother and friend returned home to her Father in Heaven on May 4, 2012 at the age of 93. She was born June 14, 1918 in Grantsville, Utah, the third child of Sam and Elizabeth Worthington. She is the sister of Lee Worthington, Virginia Geldmacher, Ruby Warr, Jack Worthington, Joy Lemkin, and Steve Worthington. Mom married her sweetheart, Roy Lynn Bryan, June 23, 1937, later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 4, 1948. Together they had 4 children. They owned and operated Bryan's Arctic Circle in Tooele for over 20 years. After Roy's passing, she married Albert Madsen on July 24, 1981. They enjoyed 21years together. Rowena loved life, loved to laugh, and dearly loved her family. She enjoyed every family get together; the holiday parties, playing games till all hours of the night, and her weekly family home evenings. She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many different callings throughout her life. She served two missions, one on Temple Square and the other in the Name Extraction Program. She enjoyed golf, bowling, dancing, and playing cards with her many friends. She was a wonderful example and loved by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, Roy Bryan, husband, Albert Madsen, son-in-law, Chad Culley, daughter-in-law, Janice Bryan, granddaughter Joanne Crawford, and great-grandson Jennings Ellis. She is survived by her children, Karyn Culley, Brent R. "Bud" (Charlene) Bryan, Lynn (Phil) Crawford, Jan (Marge) Bryan, her sister Joy, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Stansbury Park Stake Center where friends and family can visit from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
