In Loving Memory of Phyllis Anderson Smith

Phyllis Anderson Smith, born on April 10, 1937, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of August 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Phyllis lived a life filled with love, friendship, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong spirit, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her resilience, compassion, and sense of humor carried her through life's challenges and inspired those around her. She possessed a quiet strength that served as an example to family and friends throughout her life.

One of Phyllis's greatest pleasures was spending time with her friends, especially on their cherished trips to Wendover. She treasured those adventures, the laughter they shared, and the lifelong friendships that enriched her life. Whether surrounded by family or enjoying time with friends, Phyllis found joy in life's simple moments and in the company of those she loved.

Family was the center of Phyllis's world. She cherished every opportunity to gather with loved ones, celebrate milestones, and create memories that will be treasured for generations. Her love, guidance, and support left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Kenneth Smith (Carolyn), Michael Smith (Gerelmaa), and Matthew Smith; her grandchildren, Randi, Rachel, Lindsey, Travis, Catherine, Veronica, Olivia, and Temuulen; and 17 beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sherden Smith; her daughter, Kathleen; and her grandsons, Steve and Joe.

Phyllis touched many lives through her caring nature, unwavering strength, and generous spirit. Her legacy is one of love, loyalty, perseverance, and kindness. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love and influence will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Coli and Travis of Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care, support, and guidance in helping us navigate this difficult time. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort to both Phyllis and her family and will always be remembered with gratitude.

We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Brother Ray Ashby for his compassion, support, and comforting presence during this difficult time. His kindness, faith, and encouragement provided strength and peace to our family and will not be forgotten.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Phyllis has been reunited with those who went before her and that her memory will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

A private family service will be held.

May she rest in peace.
