Paul Leaf

–

Tooele, Utah

June 11, 1965 – April 4, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Allen Leaf, age 59, on April 4, 2025. Paul was a dedicated son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Paul was a proud and retired FBI evidence technician having served in the Salt Lake City office for many years. Prior to his time in Salt Lake, Paul worked with the FBI in Boise, Idaho, and Seattle, Washington. Fiercely committed to his work, Paul’s dedication and meticulous attention to detail made him a trusted colleague and a valued member of the team. His quiet and humble demeanor earned him the love and respect of co-workers, neighbors, and friends alike.

In his personal life, Paul was a true animal lover, especially fond of his cat, Charlie, who brought him great comfort and companionship. He also had a passion for travel, exploring many beautiful places across the United States. His journeys across the country were some of his most cherished experiences. Above all, Paul loved to be with his family, especially during the holidays and birthdays. His visits were always filled with warmth and affection, and he will be dearly missed during these moments.

Paul was born to Stanley Leaf and Nellie (Peckham) Leaf, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Eric Leaf (residing in Texas), and his sister, Sheryl (Leaf) Lyon (residing in Idaho), as well as his brother-in-law, Chris Lyon. Paul was a devoted and much-loved uncle to Eric's sons and Sheryl and Chris’ sons, and his bond with his nephews brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his half-sister, Lori, who lives in Wisconsin.

Although Paul never married and had no children of his own, his family and friends were everything to him. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and the quiet but unwavering love he gave to those closest to him.

Private family service will be held to honor Paul’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Paul’s memory.
