Patricia Josephine Alhand Anglin Thompson born February 25, 1948 to Richard Jackson Alhand and Bonnie Lorraine Kaser Alhand in Danville Vermilion County Illinois. Patricia joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a teenager in Danville and graduated from Danville high school. She attended BYU University in Provo, Utah. She was called to serve a mission in the North West Central States as a Lamanite Missionary in Montana and Idaho. After her mission she married John Richard Anglin living in Louisiana and Texas. They had 4 children, but Pattie and John were later divorced. Patti moved to Utah and graduated from BYU with a master’s degree in Anthropology specializing in Native American studies. After 13 years as a single mother with four children she married Ray S. Thompson in Salt Lake City on May 22, 1992 and brought a daughter Dana Gogan. Patti worked as an Archaeologist in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho, teaching and attending mountain man rendezvous. Her mountain man name is “Touches Water”. She passed away January 3, 2021 of the Corona Virus and is survived by her husband, children; Mary Smeding of Salt Lake City, Anna Anglin of Salt Lake City, Richard John Anglin of Virginia State, and Sarah Clubb of Florida, sister Virginia Leonard of Powder Springs Georgia, 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held for Patricia on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Tate Mortuary from 10:00 am to 11:45 am. A graveside will follow at 12 noon in the Tooele City Cemetery.
