Norma Johnson

Norma Geane Johnson, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1931, to Orvel and Lela Hansen in Redmond, Utah, Norma was the sixth of thirteen children and grew up surrounded by the warmth of a large and loving family.

On June 17, 1948, she married Kay L. Johnson. They shared 70 cherished years of marriage. Kay passed away in 2019. Together they raised four children, Karen (Larry), Brent, Kenneth (Rebecca), and Randy. Family was the heart of Norma’s life and her greatest joy. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Norma delighted in watching her Utah Jazz. She was a gifted seamstress, and she loved sitting down to a game of rummy with her family. She and Kay shared a love of rockhounding and traveling, and they spent several happy years living in Quartzsite, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kay, and her son Kenneth.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Tooele City Cemetery, 361 South 100 East, Tooele, Utah.
