Nick Kokinakis Obituary (2012)

Nick H. Kokinakis Nick Kokinakis passed away on April 29, 2012. Born to Greek immigrants Harry Kokinakis & Kanela Fexis on July 8, 1918, a lifetime resident of Tooele, he graduated from Tooele High School in 1937. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the 1st Armored Division in the European theater of operations. He participated in both the North African and Italian campaigns. Upon his discharge from the army he was employed at the Tooele Army Depot and Dugway Proving Grounds. He worked for 30 years at these facilities. He retired from Dugway as Chief for the Development Division. He married Anna M. Roth and had one son Harry. He traveled extensively in both the USA and Europe. He enjoyed being a loving grandfather and great grandfather to his grandchildren. Nick was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Maxine. He is survived by his son Harry, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 3, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tate Mortuary, with a viewing 1 hr prior to the services Interment in the Tooele City Cemetery.
