Nica Brereton Obituary (1928)

Nica Jane Whorton Brereton, daughter of George and Rita Whorton, was born October 8, 1928 in Boise, Idaho and returned to her Heavenly Father on August 5, 2012. She loved the music world and she sang as a soprano with the Utah Opera, where she met the love of her life, Harold W. Brereton. They were married on February 13, 1954. Together they raised six children. Nica was also blessed to have three stepchildren in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is survived by all of her children: Sterling (Diane) Brereton, Catherine (Fred) Spencer, Susanne (Terry) Williams, Rita Rieger, George (Saundra) Brereton, Harold Brereton, Robert Brereton, Jarene (Chris) Matson, and Brian Brereton. She has 32 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain West Medical Center and all the great people at Rocky Mountain Care Center.
