Micheal Erdman Obituary (1967 - 2022)

Micheal Sheridan Erdman March 21, 1967 - July 20, 2022 Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, Micheal was the eldest child of Charlene “Charley” Erdman. Bakersfield is also where he and his wife Misty (Larsen) met in 1992 and fell in love. At Bakersfield College, Micheal was elected ASBC President, a position that gave him the opportunity to campaign for students and challenge administrators, both roles that he enjoyed greatly. Micheal was a tutor for many subjects and relished in helping others succeed. After graduating from Bakersfield College, Micheal continued his education at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT where he graduated with a BS in Economics. Learning was a life-long passion for Micheal, there wasn’t a topic he didn’t know something about, and he loved to share his knowledge with others. After moving to Utah, Micheal developed a love of cooking, joking it grew out of a desire for self-preservation (Misty tends to be more of a baker than a cook), and he found great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. While Micheal was known by most for his quick and sarcastic wit, those who knew him best would also be quick to mention his kind and loving spirit. Micheal had a small circle of those that he was closest to, and animals were always a part of that circle. Being a #catdad was a privilege for him and he dreamed of opening a cat rescue where he could sit around and play with kittens all day. Micheal is preceded in death by many that he loved dearly. Just as he missed them, we will miss him. Micheal’s passing has left a hole in the universe for those that loved him most that will never be filled. He will forever be missed by countless family, friends, and animals who were lucky enough to have loved him in life.
