Lisa Marie Barrington passed away early Thursday morning, July 7, 2022, due to a pulmonary\nthromboembolism from a recent surgery.\nShe was born on December 31, 1970, in Tooele, Utah to Jim and Peggy (Featherstone)\nBarrington. Lisa graduated from Tooele High School in 1989 and received her Bachelor’s of\nScience in Elementary Education from Utah State University in 1998.\nLisa was an exceptional teacher, teaching for 23 years within the Utah Catholic Schools (St Olaf\nElementary and St John the Baptist Elementary) and the Tooele School District (West\nElementary). She started her career teaching 2nd grade. She also taught 3rd through 6th\ngrade. Many parents requested her to teach their children again as she taught higher grades.\nShe was looking forward to teaching 5th grade again for the upcoming school year.\nLisa is survived by her father, Jim, her sister, Leigh, best friend, Ginger Martin, honorary sister,\nTami Goldsworthy, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and her fur babies, Shermie, Simee,\nPepper, and Rudy. She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy, grandparents, three uncles,\none aunt, and five cousins.\nFamily and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life, Tuesday, July 19, 2022, with a\nvisitation at 11am and service at noon, at Tate Mortuary, 110 S Main, Tooele, Utah. Interment\nat the Tooele City Cemetery following the service.\nOur family would like to thank Tooele EMS for their quick response and lifesaving efforts. We’d\nalso like to thank the staff at Tate Mortuary for their care and kindness given to us at this\ndifficult time.\nLisa's wish was to be an organ donor. She was able to provide skin and tissue to help save others in need.
