Joseph Welker

With great sadness we announce the passing of our little angel Joseph Welker on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was 16 months old and passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Joseph Daniel Welker was born on September 1, 2021, with multiple complex medical issues that resulted in open heart surgery in his first few days of life. He also went through several other serious interventions across his life. He almost always required 24/7 monitoring.

Despite his hardships and difficulties Joseph always had a peaceful and contented demeaner. He smiled and laughed a lot and enjoyed so many things. Among his favorite things was a mini jumper where he would jump himself up and down for long periods of time with great energy. He had his favorite lullabies and songs. He loved to lie on his back and play the toy piano with his feet. He always seemed to be enthralled by paintings and pictures hanging on the wall.

Joseph's life was a miracle. He brought joy to so many and he will be so dearly missed.
