George Washington Boyd, born January 19, 1942, in San Diego, CA, departed this life on August 26, 2023, in Tooele, Utah. George, a humble and dedicated soul, lived a simple life filled with the joys of his many talents and hobbies. He was a retired firefighter, having bravely served his community in this capacity for many years, earning various career firefighting awards. His creative spirit was evident in his love for web design, art, and particularly, his talent for music. A gifted musician, George found immense happiness in playing the guitar and piano, and composing instrumental songs.\n\nGeorge was a man of strong faith, a devout Christian, and he held a deep belief in his religion that guided him throughout his life. He expressed his beliefs and creativity through his online religious comics, which were a testament to his faith and his illustrative talents. George also enjoyed the thrill of the ride, often seen cycling around the trails in St. George, and he was known amongst his friends and family for his love of the video game, Grand Turismo. Before moving to St. George, Utah, he lived in Victorville, California, where he left a lasting impact on many lives.\n\nGeorge will be fondly remembered by his sons, Adam Boyd (Cindy) and Cameron Boyd; his grandchildren, Taylor and Ashley Boyd; and his sister, Barbara Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Boyd and Ella Allison, and his siblings. \n\nIn the words of Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." George's light shone brightly in the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift.
