With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Ferrell Kay Edwards, our Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Brother & Friend. He passed into the loving arms of Our Savior with family by his side at 1:28 pm on October 6, 2025. He was born to William Ferrell Edwards and Valda LaRue Larsen on March 25, 1943. He graduated from Jordan High School.
Kay served in the United States Air Force. He worked at Carpenter Paper Company, National Cash Register (Salesman), Salt Lake County Fireman & Paramedic, General Contractor (Home builder), Building Inspector and Owner-Operator (Commercial Truck Driver). Kay was a true provider to his family. Our Dad helped each of us boys to learn many of the different trades that he knew which helped all of us sons to be providers for their families.
Kay loved to take his boys camping, fishing, boating, waterskiing, riding motorcycles and vacationing on house boats at Lake Powell. Kay shared almost 60 years with the love of his life Joan Edwards before she passed. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He strived to be faithful and taught his children to live the Gospel and Serve others.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Tracy), Jeff (Grace), Chris (Shannon), John; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and siblings Lynn, Karen (Rick), Brent and Robert; and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Joan Edwards and his parents, William Ferrell Edwards and Valda LaRue Edwards; sister Janet and brother Mark.
A special thank you to our family and friends who have helped us during this difficult time.
