Our loving friend, wife, and Mother Emma Perea passed peacefully February 17, 2021.\nEmma was born January 1, 1929 to Joseph L. Martinez and Sofia Sierria in Monte Vista, Colorado.Emma was one of seven children and often spoke fondly of her parents and growing up in rural Colorado. There Emma met and married Joseph (Dave) Perea in 1947. Later they settled at TAD Park and eventually Tooele, Utah with their daughter Rosemary. Emma worked at the Tooele Army Depot as well as the "Style Shop" on Tooele Main Street. Emma was a devout catholic and member of the St. Marguerite parish since 1952 where she had many close friends. Most notably, Emma had seventeen "God-Children", sponsored by Emma in the sacrament of Baptism or Confirmation. Emma loved to golf, play bingo, and take the senior bus to Wendover. Emma was a life-long friend of Ruben and Rafaelita Martinez and spent much time with her best friend Rafaelita and their large and loving family.\n\nEmma is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Dave and beloved daughter Rosemary. She is survived by nieces; Patricia Spicer, Renee Freitas, Agnes Zaffiratos, nephew Theodore Quintana, brother-in-law Milton Perea of Colorado.\n\nFuneral Service will be held Monday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Tate Mortuary, followed by the interment at the Tooele City Cemetery.
