Delbert Harding Obituary (2010)

Delbert V. Harding, 79, returned home on Oct. 4, 2010. He was born to Josiah Frank and Mamie Taylor Harding on Oct. 29, 1930 in Magna, Utah. Del served his country in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. He married Berniece Lovell on May 2, 1953. He worked at the Deseret Chemical Depot, then at the Tooele Army Depot as a millwright until he retired in 1989. He loved to hunt, water ski, shoot trap at the Tooele Gun Club, and fish on Lower Bowns Reservoir. Most of all he loved to tease and spoil his grandkids. He is survived by his loving wife, son Jason (Staci), his three beautiful grandchildren Hunter, Alaina and Brandt, as well as his sisters Shirley Clausen, Becky Wickham (Walter), Eva Lee, and his brother William Harding (Lois). Preceding him in death are his parents, sister Lucille, and two brothers John and Calvin. A viewing will be held at Tate Mortuary in Tooele on Thursday, Oct. 7 from 6-8 p.m., and Friday Oct. 8 from 10-11 a.m. at the 26th Ward church house on 1000 West and Utah Avenue in Tooele. The funeral will be held afterward with graveside services immediately following the service.
