Darin Kirk

Darin Jay Kirk, our beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on January 19, 2024. Darin battled diabetes and kidney cancer. Darin was born on January 23, 1960, in Tooele, Utah to Jay and Joann Kirk. He graduated from Tooele High School. Darin was a man of few words. His quiet demeanor was coupled with a humble spirit and a dedicated work ethic. A lover of life’s simple joys, Darin’s passion for cars was well known.

Darin married Connie Mair and adopted her son Jason. They later divorced. Darin worked the majority of his career in the automotive industry. At the time of his passing, he worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts. Darin is survived by his son, Jason (Tyffiney) Kirk; grandchildren, Payton, Shayley, and Cameron; sister, Debbie (Jim) Millward; brother, Leonard (Denise) Kirk; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Jay and Joann Kirk, brother James Kirk and grandson Weston Payne.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Tate Mortuary, 110 S Main St. Tooele. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 12:00-12:45 PM. A luncheon will follow at the Tooele Stake Center, 253 S 200 E Tooele.
