Carol Ann Davis, age 75, resident of Tooele, Utah Carol started her new adventure on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. She left her home in Tooele, no longer bothered by the cancers she had fought. She had started her life in New Castle, Indiana on August 18, 1945. Born to Joseph and Shirley Hayes and met her oldest sister Mary for the first time. She adventured from New Castle, Indiana to Glendora, California with her parents and Mary and met her sisters Doris and Debbie along the way. She went to high school in Glendora where she met her husband Robert Michael Davis. Carol and Robert were married in Glendora, Ca on September 26 in 1964. Carol and Robert traveled the west coast. They lived in California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. While in California they were joined by their daughter, Wendy and later by their son Robert (aka Robby) in Nevada. Their adventures even took them to Hawaii where Carol was able to find her uncle, Eugene Spangler. He was called to further adventures on December 7, 1941 aboard the USS West Virginia. Carol was never afraid of work and in her life, she had been a cashier, waitress, bank teller and finally a long haul truck driver. People have asked “What was she like?” I think this tribute written by our friend, Oryan Ray fits perfectly. “Tough cookie, stubborn as a mule. Amazing old lady. After a long life, one that I would call a war after how many battles she fought and things she went through, her war has finally ended. And now she gets to move on. Eternally free, and without battles. She rests, as I for one think about the memories we had and the conversations we shared. I said that backwards, but she said a lot of things weird too. Funny person always was for the brief time I knew her. I enjoyed her company, her friendship, her helpfulness, more than I have enjoyed my teachers. Speaking of, the things that she taught me I can never forget. Like how old actors used to look so young and how cheesy scary movies used to be. I am going to cherish her memory. Rest well Carol Davis. I’ll see ya some day.” Carol leaves behind to continue their adventures: Her children and their spouses; Wendy and Jeremy Stanworth Robert and Jackie Davis Her grandchildren; Joanna Davis Stephanie Rodriguez Christopher Davis John Davis Allen Davis Sean Davis Rozelle Davis Her great granddaughter Aurina Rodriguez Her sisters and their spouses Mary and Donald Ronquillo Doris and Herbert Schilling Debbie and Charles Whitlock Her nieces and nephews Michael, Michelle, Marlene, Darlene, Fredrick, Travis and Garrett. She joins her parents Joseph and Shirley Hayes, Her uncle Eugene Spangler, and her loving husband, Robert M Davis Sr who went to map out their new adventures on March, 15, 2017. We would like to once again express our thanks to Louann Maraschino. Carol’s true friend for taking such good care of her in the final months of this adventure.
