Buddy Nielson Obituary (2015)

Buddy Jack Nielson (Handsome Jack) passed away peacefully at home Sunday March 8th. Buddy was born on December 22, 1935 in Pleasant Grove, UT to Joseph and Verna Nielson. He served his country as a member of the US Air Force, and he later retired from the Tooele Army Depot. Always quick to remind you just how handsome he was, Jack brought a laugh and a smile to everyone he spoke to with his quick wit and dry delivery. He was very competitive by nature, which lead to his love of golfing, hunting, and fishing. In his later years he and his wife traveled the Western US in their motor home and wintered in Arizona. Buddy is survived by his wife Connie (Davis), children Caprice (Mike) Hopper, Brad Nielson, Jackie (Robert) Cox, and Doug (Teri) Nielson; grandchildren Cari (David) Neeley, Whitney (Blaine) Lynch, Schyler Cox, Scott Nielson, Shelbey (Devon) Cameron and Colton Nielson; great-grandchildren Hayden Neeley, Aaron Neeley and Cameron Lynch; and his sister Bonnie Jean Trudell. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. We would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Hiliary Siebert and CNS Hospiceâ€™s Andrea, Irene and Sharon. A visitation for friends and family will be held at Tate Mortuary Friday March 13th from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Utah Food Bank.
