Brian Schlund, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and very special Papa passed away November 8, 2021. He was born May 31, 1974, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, the son of William Schlund and Debra Schlund. Later moved to Utah where he met the love of his life Virginia (Ginni) Butler. They dated all throughout high school and were married March 26, 1994. Survived by his loving wife, daughter Katelynn (Nicoli) Gallup, son Dusty (Hannah) Schlund, and three grandchildren, Elijah, Evelynn, and Lyla, who were the greatest joys of his life. Also survived by his dad, sister Nicole Schlund, brother Derek Schlund, mother-in-law Reva Roze, sister-in-law Eva (Dan) Dow, brothers-in-law David (Janae) Butler, and Chris (Lisa) Butler, his niece McKenzie (Tyler) Carson, great nephew Wayland, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mom, grandparents, uncles, aunts, father-in-law (Roger Butler), brother-in-law (Kenny Butler), and best friend Dusty Hammond. Brian enjoyed playing and teaching guitar, fishing, video games with his little buddy Elijah, dancing and singing his grandchildren to sleep, and camping; but the thing that brought him the most joy in life was spending time with his wife, his kids, and his grand kids. Brianâ€™s wishes were to be cremated with his ashes spread in Montana.
