Bonnie was born April 8, 1946 in Tooele and passed away on May 16 in Jacksonville, Ore. She was raised by her goodly parents. When she was 8, her folks moved to California where she grew up in Granada Hills and graduated from high school in Reseda, Calif. After high school she went to work for Universal Studios as a book keeper. She later worked for Covington Brothers Construction as a secretary. Later she hired on at General Dynamics as a computer programmer, a talent she self-taught as she was a very intelligent person. She was very proud of her accomplishments at General Dynamics and had worked on programing for the space shuttle. Her last job was as a truck driver. She drove for a variety of companies over the road. This is where she met the love of her life and they were married in Tooele. They both drove truck on long hauls sharing the wheel. Tragically they were both injured in a wreck and could no longer work. Bonnie was also good at her genealogy research. Her favorite scripture is James 1:5 which says "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." She had battled breast cancer for a decade and lost the battle in the home of her sister Lori in Jacksonville, Ore. Lori was instrumental in getting her quality health care and a special end of life experience. Bonnie and her brother Corey shared nearly the same birthday, two days apart, and it made for a special bond between them. While on disability from the accident she lived in Wilburton, Okla., on a wooded property that she loved. There she was able to spend time with her family, kids and grandkids alike. She truly had love in her heart for family. She later moved to Eufaula to be near her oldest daughter and son-in-law. Bonnie is preceded in death by mother Betty Shields, father Ralph Shields, husband Carl Williams and daughter Charlene Buzzell, who had also been battling cancer and passed six months ago, and nephew Jeff Shields. Bonnie is survived by her daughters Cindy Suter of Three Rivers, Mich., and Jolene "Jo" Molter of Chickasha, Okla., her siblings Lee Shields of Tooele, Michael Shields of Salt Lake City, Corey Shields of Brazil, Ind., Lori Thomson of Jacksonville, Ore., and son-in-law James "Buzz" Buzzell who had been a tremendous help for her on almost a daily basis for many years. Also surviving are grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who are too numerous to mention but were a joy in her life every time she would see or talk with them. She will be greatly missed. Internment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery near her parents after a service held at the Tooele Pinehurst Chapel on May 24 at 2 p.m.\n\nTo send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Bonnie Shields Williams please visit our Sympathy Store.
