Beulah Arlene Metzler, a resilient and loving soul, passed away on October 8, 2023. Born in Peshastin, Washington, on August 17, 1929, to Leon VanKirk and Cleo Pickett, Beulah's life was a testament to the richness of human experience and the strength of the human spirit. Her generous heart and supportive nature were evident in everything she did, from her role as a Secretary in the Tooele County School District to the way she nurtured her family and friends. Beulah made everyone she met feel valued and loved.\n\nBeulah was a woman of many interests and talents. She had a passion for sewing and knitting, which she often used to create beautiful gifts for loved ones. Her love for reading and painting allowed her to explore new worlds and express her creativity, while her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply. She and her late husband, Jack, shared a love of travel, exploring places like Mexico and Canada in their golden years. Despite her sometimes stubborn and feisty nature, Beulah never lost her caring spirit and interest in the lives and wellbeing of those around her.\n\nBeulah is survived by her children, Craig Metzler (Diane), Jackie Murphy (Rick), and Julie Buckingham; her grandchildren, Bryan Metzler, Jonathan Metzler, Travis Metzler, Lindsey Rodriguez, and Ross Buckingham; and her four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Metzler; her parents, Leon VanKirk and Cleo Pickett; and her six siblings. As Helen Keller noted, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Beulah’s legacy will continue in the lives of those she touched with her generous, resilient, supportive, and loving spirit.\n\nPlease take a moment to share your memories and photos of Beulah on her memorial page.
