Barbara Bell

Barbara T. Bell, born on July 4, 1933, in Salt Lake City, UT, passed from this life on November 14, 2023. Barbara spent her life being a thoughtful, supportive, and generous soul, whose quick wit and humor left lasting impressions on those around her. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her faith guided her throughout her life. Barbara felt profound joy in serving others, a sentiment echoed in the Book of Mormon, Mosiah 2:17: "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."

Barbara lived a fulfilling life, filled with love and admiration. She resided in Erda, Utah, and over her lifetime she had also called Rush Valley, Hurricane, Tooele, and Scofield, Utah her home. She was a retired supply clerk from the Tooele Army Depot, where her dedication and meticulousness were well recognized. In her leisure time, Barbara found joy in doing word searches and watching her favorite game shows, particularly Family Feud and What Would America Say? But what mattered most to Barbara were her grandchildren. Their laughter, their stories, and their lives were her greatest pride and joy.

Barbara leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Diane Shields and son-in-law Rex, son Alan Murray and daughter-in-law Julie, son Cheyenne Murray, eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Dean and Phyllis Tomlin, husband Ross Bell, granddaughter Mandy Shields, and sons Tommy Murray and Doug Shelly.

The viewing will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 9:30-10:45AM at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main Street, Tooele, Utah, 84074. Following the viewing, a graveside service will be held at 11:00AM at the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 South 100 East, Tooele, Utah, 84074.

Barbara's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. As we remember her, let us celebrate her life and the love she bestowed upon us.
