Andrew Sadler

Andrew Drake Sadler, 40, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Andrew was born on November 20, 1984, and his life was marked by family, friends and his unique sense of humor.

Andrew took immense pride in his professional life at Alside. He enjoyed helping branch's transform and become a cohesive team that worked better together. In Portland, "Whelan's Wednesdays" became a tradition that Andrew and his team members looked forward to.

Andrew is survived by his wife Ashley; his beloved son Oliver; his parents Larry and Teresa Sadler; his brother Anthony Sadler; and many other family members. He also leaves behind lifelong friends Ryan Flynn, Casey Karren, and Parker Chapman, whose bonds of friendship were a source of strength throughout his life. Andrew was predeceased by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Kenzie and Jamie at CNS for their compassionate care during Andrew’s final days.

We would also like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at IMC, OHSU, and Adventist Health Portland for the care they provided Andrew during his cancer treatments.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Andrew’s memory and celebrate the impact he had on those who knew him.
