Richard A. Peterson passed away on Nov 10, 2011. He was born Sept 10, 1941 to Arnold W. and Letha McCullagh Peterson. He married his high school sweetheart Sharree Hervat, and together they had three daughters. He worked at the Smelter and the Starfire Boat Plant prior to his employment with Tooele City, where he retired as the Oquirrh Hills Golf Course Superintendant after 28 years of service. He had a life-long passion for golf and collected and rebuilt golf clubs. He loved fishing and hunting and traveling with his family. He was a master carpenter. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks and Moose Lodges. He is survived by his daughters: Lezlie (Dave) McCall, Lisa (Albert) Buck, and Tyra (Troy) Hansen; grandchildren Randi (Cooper), Kyla, David, Nathan (Larissa) Michael (Jordyn), Morgan, Skylee, Lauren; great-grandchildren, Gage, Sophia, Marley and Remington; and sister Dixie Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharree, sister Rosalie Killian, son-in-law Kile Pitts and nephew Randy Vantine. Funeral services will be held Friday November 18th at Tate Mortuary at 11:00AM. Viewing will be 9:30-10:30 prior. The family wishes to thank Dr.Holt and his staff for the excellent care and concern extended to our father.
