Ernestina Lucia Valerio 1931-2011
“Angels are all around us, all the time, in the very air we breathe.”
Ernestina Valerio, our beloved angel, remarkable mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on October 25, 2011 at the age of 79.Ernestina was born on December 15, 1931 in Amalia,New Mexicoto Juan Benito Trujillo and Raquel Trujillo. She married Cordelio Valerio and they were married for an extensive 58 years. Tina had the essence of a beautiful soul; her love, passion, generosity and perseverance have left many humbled and eternally grateful for her presence on earth. She exemplified unconditional love to all of her family and friends and has proved to be a model example for all. Her sense of humor and energetic personality were only a few of her best attributes, and she never failed to bring a smile to all who knew her. Tina enjoyed spending time with her family, making new friends, and acting as a motherly figure to everyone she knew. She never stopped giving to others; she would give anyone anything she owned without hesitation. She was an admirable person and the memories created and the lives she touched will never be forgotten. While we are mourning the loss of our wife, mother and grandmother, her mother and father are rejoicing to meet her in paradise. Ernestina was preceded in death by mother and father Raquel and Juan BenitoTrujillo; Brother George Trujillo; Sisters Mary Quintana and Jenny Baca. Ernestina is survived by her husband Cordelio Valerio; sons Johnny (Mary), Jimmy (Kindra), and Randy; daughters Jessie (Ralph) and Della (Roland); 12 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. A funeral mass was celebrated on Friday October 28th at St. Marguerite’s Catholic Church; burial at Tooele City Cemetery. Ernestina’s family would like to give thanks to Harmony Home Health and Hospice for all of their care, as well as all those who gave us their comfort, support, and prayers.
