Arlene Dunn
“Vous tres jolie”
You are beautiful

The afternoon of October 9th, 2011, our mom, grandma, aunt, sister, partner, and friend Arlene Dunn was reunited with passed loved ones. She was the strongest, most level-headed, and smartest person we’ve ever known.  We are lucky and proud to have her as our Mom. She was born on  February 4, 1939 in Hammond, Indiana to Ollie and Dora Norwood.  She married Robert W. Dunn on June 16, 1961. Bob passed away in 1991.  Luckily enough, she found a second love in a beautiful man, Richard Pelletier. They have spent the last 14 years together.  She worked many years at the Tooele Army Depot and retired from the depot in Sierra Nevada.  Arlene was an avid animal lover and over her lifetime owner of dogs, cats, birds, horses, and yes, even a monkey.  She loved the Chicago Bears, reading, writing, traveling and being with her family.  She was the mother of 4 children Greg (Ruth), Rod (Melissa), Bobbi (Layne), and Stormy (Aaron).  Her biggest heartbreak was Bobbi’s  passing in 1993. She leaves behind grandchildren that she was so proud of: Brandon (Sarah), Tristen (Vanessa), Rikki (Chris) and Markie Dunn, Tehra, Jake and Ashton Dunn, Landon Martin, Austin (Becky) and Dylan Simon, and great-grandchildren Trinten, Javen, Taylyn, Camden, Kian and our newest, Jaycee, as well as her special dogs, Solomon and Sheba. Special thanks to Sandra for all she’s done for our mom and family. Mom, you are much loved and we will all miss you everyday for forever.  We’ll miss your touch, advice, hugs and sense of humor.  Thank you for making each one of us feel special.  We will never let go of the bond we each share with you.  Please join us for a gathering and celebration of Mom’s life on Thursday October 13 at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah at 2:00 pm.  There will also be a memorial mass on Friday, October 14 at 11:00 am at St. Marguerite’s Church in Tooele followed by the interment services.
