1924 – 2011

Mary Doris Watson was born on June 3, 1924, to Loren Alfred and Margaret Dorothy Ann Sober in Springfield, Colorado. Mrs. Watson became a child of God in 1934 by accepting Jesus as her Savior. She married Johnny A. Watson on December 18, 1941, in LaJunta Colorado. Together they conceived 11 children of which they reared 9 to adulthood. Mary Watson died quietly at home on September 20, 2011, in Tooele, Utah at the age of 87.  Mary was a wife and mother, an entrepreneur, a Cub Scout den mother for many years, a pioneer in child evangelism and a master upholsterer. She loved reading, music and drawing as well as her fellowship with Mountain View Baptist Church in Grantsville, Utah.  Mary Watson is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 61 years, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 3 of her children, 3 of her children’s spouses and 1 grandchild. She is survived by 2 sisters, 8 children and their spouses, 28 grandchildren/step-grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren/step-great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren/step great-great grandchildren.  Mary Doris Watson will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, encourager of children, genuine friend, fervent prayer warrior and as a special Child of God. She will be missed by many around the world.  Services will be held Wednesday, September 21st, at 4PM at Tate Mortuary. A viewing will be held prior to services from 3-4. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.
