Vera Peery Walch returned home to her Heavenly Father and her loved ones on August 25, 2011, 20 days after her 96th birthday. She was surrounded by her family when she left to meet her sweetheart, Jack. She was born on August 5, 1915 to Samuel Woodson and Mary Eleanor Barnett Peery in Spring Lake, Utah. She spent her childhood in Spring Lake and Payson. She had 2 older brothers, Glen and Don and a younger sister, Melba. Vera went to school in the Nebo School District and was a great student. She met and married her soul mate, Jack Albert Walch on April 20, 1937 in Nephi. Together, they had 3 children, Joan, Jeanne, and Gary. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on May 27, 1963 and had their children sealed to them for time and all eternity. She worked for First Security Bank and retired after 25 years with them. Vera was the one that everyone wanted to go see. She was so kind, polite, and helpful and a friend to everyone. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held many callings at both ward and stake level. She loved the gospel and lived it every day. She leaves a great legacy of family and friends who will miss her. She is survived by her children Joan Anderson (Don), Jeanne Bevan (Paul) and Gary Walch (Colleen). She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She also has several nieces and nephews. She loved everyone that she came into contact with and will surely be missed. Family Graveside services will be held Monday, August 29, 2011. Per her wishes, there will be no viewing.
