1955-2011
Kathleen Gygi Newbold our beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend returned home to Heavenly Father August 14, 2011. Born July 2, 1955 daughter of Raymond Wilford and V. Fae Adamson Gygi. Married Kim David Newbold May 1, 1990 in the Salt Lake Temple. Kathy worked 27+ years as a clerk at the US Postal Service at the West Valley Station. She raised three beautiful daughters Miranda Kymn, Tamara Marie and Brittni Tasha who will miss her deeply, along with her husband Kim. Kathy gave her all to everything she did whether it was work, cooking, being a super mom or serving as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We know we will see her again. Preceded in death by her dad Raymond Wilford Gygi; her brothers Russell Gygi and Thomas Gygi. Kathy’s love carries on through her husband Kim David Newbold; daughters Miranda Kymn, Tamara Marie and Brittni Tasha; her mom Fae Gygi; sisters Carolyn (Arnold) Dyson, LaPreal (Burton) Hoopes, Ginger (Dave) Jorgensen, Colleen (Brian) Goodfellow, Sharla (John) Groves, Lynette (Christopher) Clements; and brother Steven Gygi. A viewing will be held Friday, August 19th from 6-8 pm at Tate Mortuary in Tooele. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 11:00 am at the Tooele 14th Ward, 200 South 200 West. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the funeral at the church. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.

I grew up with Kathy in alot of my primary, sunday school, and young women classes in Cannon Ward. Kathy was always a sweet, kind and carring girl. I never heard her say or do anything unkind. She always was smiling and happy.
