Frances Curtin

Frances Mildred Adams Curtin, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and sister peacefully departed from those who loved her at the age of 88. She is now reunited with her sweetheart, Howard Lee Curtin, brothers Buddy, Garth, and Bruce, parents Bud and Mabel Adams, five brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law. Frances was born on March 13, 1923, in American Falls, Idaho. She attended schools in Idaho and California, graduating from Santa Monica High School with honors. She married Howard in 1941 and was later sealed in the Newport Beach, California, temple. Frances retired from J.C. Penney’s after twenty-five years as a credit and lay-a-way manager in the Provo, Utah, store. She was active in the L.O.E. and also spent many years serving in the PTA, Girl Scout organization, and volunteering in her local hospital. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in various callings. Frances’ life focus was her family. She enjoyed working with her hands. She made many beautiful projects for her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and a fantastic cook. Frances is survived by her sister, Donna Spencer of Gardena, Calif.; son, Howard Roy (Patricia) Curtin, Highland; daughters Nancy (Kurt) Weaver, Cypress, Calif., Janet (Jim) Ekins, Tooele,; Pat (Larry) Haynes, Springville,; 20 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at 11:00 in the Tooele 11th Ward Chapel, 180 South Coleman St., Tooele, Utah, with a viewing preceding the services from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery.
