Beatrice Edna Strong 1950-2011
Our mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the age of 60. Bea joined her father Melvin Joseph Strong, mother Edna Iretta Galbraith, brother Richard Strong, and other loved ones. She was born August 31, 1950 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and died in Holladay, Utah. She is survived by her daughter Lilly Marie Pickering Shearer and her husband Wayne Vernon Shearer, grandson Conner Scott Shearer, along with her many nieces and nephews, loved ones and friends. She served in the US Army from January 1971 to November 1978 and where she earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Bea was loved by all who knew her and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Many have seen her in recent years at the Tooele Wal-Mart as a door greater or working with the Benson Gristmill Pageant. Many have felt her caring and assistance and we thank the devoted doctors, nurses, and caregivers who have taken care of her for the last several years. We will miss you Bea, we were blessed to know you and glad you have joined all your loved ones on the other side and are finally out of pain. Her funeral service was held Monday August 15, 2011 at Tooele North Stake Center. She will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery Idaho Falls, Idaho.
