Josephine Erichson
Posted By tatemortuary on June 30, 2011
Josie passed away on June 30, 2011 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Mom was born to Frank and Anne Skala Ambrose October 25, 1923. She attended Tooele schools while growing up in the diversity that was “New Town”. She met and married our father Frank Erichson who fell in love with her and the area while deployed at the depot during the war. Always active in the Catholic Church she was named the Women’s Guild “Woman of the Year” for her services. Always willing to help she was always taking the “ladies” on errands or trips to their doctors. Although we mourn the passing of her body it is a relief to know she is herself again among family and loved ones. Survived by her sister Ann Hansen. Her sons Frank (Debbie) and George (Jerilyn) Erichson. Grandchildren Christian Erichson, Natalie Erichson, Lisa (Matt) Black, Trevor Lloyd and Jason Clark. Preceded in death by her husband Frank and her grandchild Jeffery Erichson. We would like to thank Cottage Glen for taking such good care of her these many years and Vista Care hospice for making her transition as easy as possible. A Rosary will be held at Tate Mortuary at 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 5th with a 1 hour prior viewing. There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Marguerite’s at 11:00 AM, and a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 on Wednesday July 6th. Flowers may be sent to Tate Mortuary or in lieu, a donation to a charity of your choice.
