Debra Sandoval

Our precious mother, wife, sister and friend, Debra (Debbie) Ann Sandoval, 55, of Tooele, returned to our Heavenly Father Sunday, March 06, 2011. Debbie was born in Bakersfield, California June 5, 1955 to Margie Ann and Leonard Coughran. Margie remarried Norman Arthur Bunn, Debbie’s “dad”, and the family moved to Utah. She spent most of her teen years in Stockton. Debbie’s free-spirited and adventurous nature sent her life in many directions. In all her endeavors she looked to the Lord for strength and finally found her place in the Catholic Church where her great faith blessed not only her life, but influenced the lives of countless others. Debbie was Treasurer of the Council of Catholic Women and selected Woman of the Year in 2010; she assisted in RCIA for eight years; and was Billy’s “Grand Poopet” always helping him with the Knights of Columbus dealings. Although life threw her many curveballs along the way, she always managed to keep that beautiful and sassy smile on her face-even through her painfully long but courageous battle with cancer. She was one strong woman! Those who knew her and that sassy smile will forever love, admire and miss her fiercely. She was our angel on Earth and now an angel in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Mark Bourget, father, Leonard Coughran, and mother-in-law, Vangie Sandoval. She was survived by her mother and father, adoring husband, William (Billy) Sandoval; brothers and sisters: Cheryl (Dale) Robinson, Steve (Carmen) Coughran, Vicky and Dale Davis, and Rick (Jamie) Bunn; her brothers and sisters-in-Iaw: Bernie Sandoval, Richard (Lori) Sandoval, Anthony (Patty) Sandoval, Mark (Chris) Sandoval, Veronica Sandoval and Lisa Sandoval; children: Meredith (Brad) Mackie and Larry Oppenhein; step-children: Chris (Katie) Sandoval, Steven (Misty) Sandoval, Laura (Sam) Laple, and Felix (Kathy) Sandoval; grandchildren: Preston, Sierra, Dylan, Dedrian, Logan, Spencer, Hayden, Dezerae, Russell, and 21 additional grand children, and many nieces and nephews. The Knights of Columbus will be assisting during the viewing and funeral with an Honor Guard. A viewing will be held Thursday, March 10 from 6-8 p.m. with the Rosary to follow. Funeral mass will be on Friday, March 11 at 9:00 a.m. An additional viewing one hour prior to the funeral. All services and mass will be at St. Marguerites Catholic Church, 15 So. 7th Street, Tooele, UT. Inte?ment at Tooele City Cemetery following the mass.
