Kathryn Irene Sawyers 1924 – 2011
Loving Mother and Grandmother, Kathryn Irene Sawyers of Tooele, Utah passed away February 7, 2011 at Cottage Glen assisted living center. Born April 9, 1924 in Elsinore, Utah to Alvin and Dorthea Johnson. Graduated from South Sevier High School in 1942. Irene married Garth Sawyers and was later divorced. She worked in the personnel department at the Tooele Army Depot for 32 years before retiring. Irene has lived in Tooele for the past 67 years. She is survived by one daughter Loni Sawyers Shriber (Paul), and one son Tom Gregory Sawyers; 5 grandsons and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Melva Rosequist of Las Vegas, NV. She will always be loved by her devoted family. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11th at Noon at the Tooele 4th/14th ward. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 10:30-11:45 at the church. Interment at the Tooele City Cemetery.
