Marese Jefferies Johnson*

Posted By on December 2, 2010

Marese Jefferies Johnson passed away at her home in Orem, Utah on Thurs., Dec 2, 2010 at the age of 91 from natural causes.  A native of Grantsville, Ut., Marese was married to the late Kenneth C. Johnson, also of Grantsville.  She is survived by her 4 daughters and 2 sons, Karen Cole (Bert), Diane Karren (Keith), Ann Hardcastle (Brent), Julee Soelberg (Jay), and sons, Ronald and Kelly Johnson.  She leaves behind 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.  Marese will be remembered by all who knew her, for her quick wit, great faith, &  dedication to her family.  She will be missed by all who love her, but everyone agrees it is wonderful to have her back in the arms of her sweetheart, Kenneth.   She loved gardening and many would stop in front of her home and admire her award winning yard with the many colorful flowers, not knowing the many hours she had spent making it look so heavenly.  Marese will be joyously greeted by the many women whose temple work was done by her.  For over 25 years she has gone to the temple every Tuesday at 5:00 a.m. to do the work of those who have gone before her.   It is with much gratitude and appreciation that we thank all those who have blessed her life with their friendship.  At Marese’s request there was no funeral held.  Her immediate family had a special memorial service honoring her. She was then interred at the Grantsville City Cemetery.
