Our beloved Mother and Grandmother Shirley Manchester, age 86 died suddenly on Monday Nov. 15, 2010 in Stockton, Utah. She was born in Emery, Utah on October 11, 1924 to Alta Elizabeth Peacock and Hyrum Linford Miller. Shirley met her future husband Morris Pershing Manchester at the Coconut Grove in Salt Lake City, where they enjoyed dancing. They were married on Feb. 5, 1944. The Manchester’s moved to Tooele in 1960, where Shirley lived until her death. Her husband preceded in her death. Shirley is survived by her children Sharlene Kaul (Daniel), Mary Hill (Leslie) of Martha, OK, Bud Manchester of Taylorsville, David Manchester (Laura) of Tooele, Liz Kartchner (Glen) of Stockton, Dorothy Bankhead (Stephen) of Tooele, Bill Manchester of Eagle Mountain, John Manchester (Shannon) of Tooele. One Brother Larry Miller (Ruth) of Ensenada, Mexico, 25 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held for the family from 1-2 pm on Friday Nov. 19, at Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main Street, Tooele, UT. Graveside services will follow at the Tooele City cemetery. Following interment, please join us at a luncheon, at 508 West 700 South, Tooele.
