Madeline Marie Nielson Nylund, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born July, 20, 1923 in Elsinore, Utah, to Charles and Julie Nielson. She married Glenn Richard Nylund on September 11, 1940. Madeline worked for Tooele Army Depot for 25 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member the LDS church and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by three children, Richard (Janice) Nylund of Leeds, UT; Lynn (Denise) Nylund of Sandy, UT; Cheryl (Gary) Crossley of Grantsville, UT; sister Ruth, 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, son, LeRoy, grandson, Brett, and her siblings Arvil, Rulon, Nola, Maretia and Carl. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grantsville 2nd Ward, 81 N. Church Street, Grantsville, UT. A viewing will be held Thursday, November 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main Street, Tooele, UT, and at the church Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment Grantsville City Cemetery.
