LeRoy L. Gourley – Beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend passed away peacefully at home in Tooele, UT on October 19, 2010. Roy was born on February 18, 1931 to Joseph LeRoy (Babe) and Erma Broderick Gourley in Salina UT. He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Farren on July 16, 1955 in Eureka, UT. The happiest days of their marriage are when each of their four children were born. Roy grew up in Eureka, UT where he enjoyed many childhood activities with his extended family and friends. Roy graduated from Tintic High School. He served his country in the US Navy from 1950-1954. He worked at Dugway Proving Ground where he retired in 1986. He was a member of the LDS Church. Roy was a passionate hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed with his father, sons, brother, grand kids, uncles and cousins. All would agree, there was nothing better than the “LeRoy” lunch. Roy was an avid BYU, Utah Jazz and Tintic Miner fan. Roy is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou, his sons Gary (Cindy) South Jordan, UT, Jerry (Teresa) Eureka, UT, Lee (Deb) Stockton, UT, his daughter Tammie (Kay) Tooele, UT., 11 Precious Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving sister Brenda (John) Sutherland, Eureka, UT, Sister-in-laws Linda (Chuck) Hope, Eureka, UT, and Carol Gourley, Apache, AZ, Brother-in-law John (Michelle) Farren Reno, NV. Preceded in death by his parents, Brother Charles (Buddy) and Mother-in-law Alliene Farren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the Eureka Elks Lodge, Eureka, UT. A viewing will be held at the Elks Lodge prior to the funeral services from 10:00-11:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Eureka, UT Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Leroys passing. This family from Eureka is wonderful one. A huge part of my life in Eureka and I loved all of them.
