Christopher Scott Anglesey

August 10, 1977 – July 16, 2010

Christopher Scott Anglesey was born August 10, 1977 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, to Scott M. Anglesey and Tami Ann Ursenbach.  Chris grew up in Kaysville, UT and spent four years in England.  His teenage years were spent in Southern California where he joined the United States Army.  Chris was honorably discharged from the Army but remained in an inactive status.  Chris met and married the love of his life, Kathy Bond of North Salt Lake. Later they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple.  Together Chris and Kathy started their family with Erica.  They added twin girls, Kristen and Nicole. War came back into Chris’ life when he was called back into the Army in support of Iraqi Freedom.  In their march into Baghdad, Chris, as an acting medic, responded to a downed helicopter crash and with the help of his fellow comrades, went to give aid.  Their vehicle was hit with a RPG and we almost lost Chris that day.  His fellow soldiers were not so lucky.  For his selfless service, he was partially disabled, received the Bronze Star, and an honorably discharged.  Chris returned home to his family where he continued his service to this country and became a Paramedic, EMT, and a fireman in South Carolina.  Chris’ family increased in size with the addition of Lauren and Athena.  With Chris’ desire to be closer to his extended family, he accepted a job with the United States Government as a fireman in Yuma, Arizona at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.  From there, he and his family moved to Tooele, Utah where he continued his devotion to fire fighting with the Tooele Army Depot Fire Department.  In Tooele, Chris and his family were able to make many new friends.  Chris will be missed by all of those people who have had the opportunity to meet him.  His entire married life was lived for his sweet wife and their lovely daughters.  Chris is survived by his wife, Kathy and children Erica, Kristen, Nicole, Lauren and Athena.  He is also survived by his father Scott M Anglesey (Margaret), his mother Tami Ursenbach, and his in-laws, Donald and Connie Bond; sibling Paul (Tracilynn), Melissa (Julio Cabel), Steven (Ange), Michael, Analee Branaman, Scott Jr., Marianne, Karen, and Garrett.  Grandparents; Dr. Roy Conrad and Freda Ursenbach, LaMont W. and Ornell Anglesey, and Nancy Carol Milar and the many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.  The family would like to express their appreciation to the Tooele Army Depot Fire Department, George E Wahlen VA Hospital, the Tooele Freemasons, Bishop Wheeler and the Westland Ward, and the many family and friends that have surrounded Kathy and her girls during this time of mourning.  We miss you Chris.   Funeral Services will be provided by Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main St., Tooele at 11:00 am on Friday July 23, 2010 preceded by a viewing from 9:30 – 10:30 am.  The family asks that you kindly visit www.tatemortuary.com to leave your thoughts and memories of Chris.

    Dear Anglesey Family,
I had the opportunity to get to know Chris duing our weekly group meetings at the VA. He was a great guy. We had plans to ride in a memorial ride both Sunday, July 18th 2010 and Again Saturday July 31 2010. I talked with him thursday night and was looking forward to seeing him Sunday at the ride although he had broken his leg. A fellow member of our TBI group, informed me Friday of his passing. The last words he spoke to me were how honored he was that I had invited him to this ride. Although he couldnt make it, I rode in the group of bikes that day in the honor possition in memory of Chris. All the bikers rode side by side except myself. I was riding next to Chris. It was an honor to know him. He always made us laugh at group. I had a lot of respect for that guy. Kathy, I never got to meet you and your children but he always spoke very highly of you and those girls. If you ever need anything, I would do anything for you and your kids. We had also talked about doing a custom paint job on his bike. I would be happy to offer my services free of charge and paint his bike into a memorial for him. I will attend the viewing and funeral and if you would like, I can arrange to have the patriot guard riders to escort him to the cematary. The patriot guard riders have to be requested by the family and if you would like, you can contact me, and I will get you in contact with them. I am heartbroken to have lost another good friend. I will never forget his laugh nor his sense of humor. He will not be forgotton and all of us in group will deeply miss him. I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family during this time of mourning. Again, if there is anything you need at all, please feel free to contact me.

Chris was always a loyal friend to anyone he met. He loved his wife and girls with all his heart. Several times I was able to talk to him through the years and he always praised his beautiful girls and wife, he couldn’t tell me enough! My heart hurts for your loss. Chris will be watching over all you girls forever. I hope that you know we care about you guys and send our best wishes and love your way. I am sorry I won’t be able to attend any of the services but I will keep you in my heart and prayers.

    With Love,

  6. Terri Stone (T.J.) says:

I first met Chris when I took care of he and his siblings while his mother worked. I was a live-in babysitter who was also a Marine. I was always very close to the children throughout their childhood. Chris and Paul, each for a summer, came to Oklahoma to spend several weeks with my ex-husband and I. These are times that I will always cherish. Through the years we all lost touch until just recently when I had started reconnecting with the kids and Tami, one by one. I regret that I didn’t get to catch up with Chris before his passing. He has always and will always be in my heart. To Kathy and the girls, your husband and father was a great child whom I have been told grew up to be a very good man (as you most definitely know). My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. My heart is with you. Godspeed Chris. I love you.

    Chris,
My heart is broken.. you were always such a kind and sweet soul. I love you very much Chris and will always remember your big beautiful smile. A smile that would light up any room… I feel we had a sort of connection due to our pasts, a buddy to understand. I will always miss that. I know that you are in the beautiful light and being surrounded by all of the wonder, peace and love heaven has to offer. You deserve nothing less. Kathy, my most wonderful sister, I love you so much too. I am here for you in anyway and at anytime… I love you so much and I am so so sorry for your tremendous loss. There are no words. 10. Cayden Bond says:

Chris was always a happy man. He loved his family and even all his extended family. He would always try his hardest to get together with his family. He was always a fun person to talk to and always gave great advice. He also had a lot of funny stories. I will miss him very much. He was a great man and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. I always looked up to my Uncle, when i was in elementary school and the war in iraq started i remember writing a book for an assignment. it could have been about whatever i wanted it to be. I chose to write it about one of my heroes. I wrote the book and had drawn pictures and everything about my uncle and how he was serving in the war and how i looked up to him. He will forever be a hero in all the hearts of them who knew him. R.I.P Uncle Chris

    Kathy-
We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Chris. We have many wonderful memories of Chris and your whole family here in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May the Holy Ghost comfort you, and bring peace to you and your family. Chris was always so willing to help. I can remember one morning after Chris had worked all night, he stopped in at Marlon’s parents house. Norris’ health was declining from leukemia. Chris wanted to do anything he could to help – as tired as he was, Chris began to rake the yard. He was so willing to give of himself. When Norris fell and broke his hip, Chris was on the ambulance that transported him to the hospital. What a comfort it was to know that Norris was well taken care of – and comforted by having his friend Chris with him. Please know that we love you and your family.

  29. Joseph Jaffe says:

    Dear Kathy and Family,

I was honored to have known Chris. He and I while I worked at the Depot had a great working relationship and bonded. I only now wish that I could have still be working with him so that I could see him more often. It was hard to do things with Chris outside of work, but it was understood of how devoted he was to his family. The last time I saw Chris he gave me Tattoo of my newborns name. Just as he permanently wrote my son’s name on my are, he has also tattoo’d a place for himself forever in my heart!

    POEM

Chris, how you will be missed everyday, there are no words that could say.
You brightend our lives to have you in it, even if someone only knew you for a minute.
A fellow Army soldier and Fire Brother to me, how your smile was a sight to see!
I remember you trying to learn guitar, and Jewell remembers the way you worked on cars!
Though neither of those came out the best, You gave one hundred percent and gave your best.
Now my friend, brother, and soldier, your in gods hands to forever hold you!
If you happened to see your final goodbye, you would have seen the tears as people cried.
They cried for you because your gone, but we all know that your spirit and memory will live forever on!!!

God Bless You Kathy, Kids and all of Chris’s Family….

    Always, R.I.P.
    Joe J. & Family
