Kaye Lynn Gillett Shields (Buns)
Our Beautiful and Loving wife, mommy, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and best friend, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones after her courageous battle with cancer on June 30th 2010. Mom was born November 30, 1955 to Lois Coe and Jack R. Gillett. Mom married (Dad) Dal Shields the love of her life on August 12, 1978. Together they have 3 beautiful but challenging girls. Heidi(James) Yale, Jamie(Mike) Dixon, Jackie(Ryan) Yale. They have 6 Beautiful and spoiled grandbabies, Sean Yale, Sierra Shields, Autumn Yale, Daiton Dixon, Peityn Yale, and Chloie Dixon. Mom attended school in Tooele, she worked at Tooele Wal-Mart for over 15 years doing various jobs and making many friends along the way. Mom’s greatest joys in life were playing with her grandbabies. She will be greatly missed by them all. Mom was a very talented pencil artist and only shared her drawings with her close family. She enjoyed making crafts especially chaulking her ceramics and coloring with her kids and grandkids. Mom loved the outdoors and sitting around the campfire with her family while singing karaoke. Mom liked riding four wheelers as long as it wasn’t fast, unless she was on the four wheeler with one of her girls. Mom especially loved singing and sharing her camp songs with her kids and all of their friends and her grandkids. Mom loved to karaoke with her close family, mom had one of the most amazing voices in the world, even though she was a very shy person. Mom was an avid movie watcher and collector.
We will greatly miss you and love you, morder, morder, forever and always from infinity and beyond, Love your family. Mom is survived by her loving Husband, Children, Grandbabies, Mom Lois, Sisters, Joann Leiser, Bev(Van) Shields, Diane(Pat) Fivas, Patsy Adams. Sisters in-law Clarina Gillett, Kristie(Mike) Anderson, Julie Shields, Brothers in-law Corry Shields(Sue) Joe(Haus) Riley also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom is preceded in death by her Father, Loving Sisters, Susan Clements, Linda(Lou) Gillett, Daughter Baby Toni Shields, Mother in-law, Lana Adell Shields, Baby Grand Daughter, Sarah Lana Yale, Brother Paul Gillett, and Brother in-law Duke Leiser. We would like to thank as a family the Tooele Wal-Mart Family, Tooele County Court House Family, and many other families and friends for their support through mama’s illness. A very special Thanks to Joe Riley Sr., Uncle Randy and Aunt Frankie Shields. Huntsman Cancer Institute, and we want to especially thank Kersta and Karista from Hospice we love you! There will be a viewing held on Wednesday July 7th 2010 at Tate Mortuary from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on July 8,2010 at the Pine Canyon Ward Chapel at 1 PM, there will be a viewing prior to the service from 11:30-12:30. Interment will be held at the Tooele City Cemetery. Another special thanks to her youngest Daughter Jackers for taking special care of mommy when her two older sisters couldn’t, and helping Dad through this huge trial.
