Charlotte Vilate SealCharlotte Vilate Seal, 91, passed away on Tuesday, May 18,2010 at Cottage Glenn of natural causes. She was born July 7, 1918 in Tooele to Joseph Martin and May Archibald. Mom graduated from Tooele High in 1936 and attended Henager Business College before serving an LDS mission in the Central States Mission from 1941-1943 She married Carl DeVere Seal on February 12,1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake temple on January 13, 1969. Mom worked at Tooele Ordinance Depot for over 20 years all for the same division. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. She was a teacher in various organizations, but the position she enjoyed most was as a ward librarian which she held for 20 years and was released only after losing her eyesight. Vilate loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons Dennis Alan (Marlene) Seal and Joseph Lynn (Sherry) Seal, 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sister. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Cottage Glen staff for their many kindnesses during mom’s stay with them and to Mindy, Jamie and Susie of Harmony Home Health who provided much love and care in addition to their nursing and hospice care. Graveside services will be held in Tooele, Friday, May 21st at 11:00AM. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at Tate Mortuary. .
