Julian Arnell Gillins “Doby”
On Monday March 29, 2009 we lost our husband, dad, and grandpa, Julian Arnell Gillins (Doby). He was born November 11,1942 in Milford Utah to Robert and Ellen Warby Gillins. He Married Carol Buckingham on March 12,1967 in Elko Nevada. Doby attended schools in Beaver, Tooele and graduated from Cyprus High school in Magna. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war from December 1966 to December 1968. He worked for numerous places including Firestone and Tooele Army Depot, North area as a mechanic, and as a guard at the Army Depot South area, until his retirement in 2007. He also served on the Rush valley town board and zoning board, he also served as Rush Valley Fire Chief. He is Survived by his wife Carol, Daughter Nickie (Alan) Anderton, Sons Rick (Gus) and Dee, and six grandchildren, also his sisters Bonnie (Max) Ames, Sylva (Jerry) Christensen, and Brother David (Myla). He was preceded in death by his parents a baby daughter and a grandson. A Viewing will be held in Tooele at Tate Mortuary Friday April 2, from 6pm to 8pm, and on Saturday April 3, a viewing from 10AM to 10:45Am at Rush Valley Town Hall followed by an 11:00 o’clock funeral. Burial services will be conducted at Clover Cemetery.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. He was still very young. Tell his family that they are in our prayer and hope the spirit will comfort them and help them through this sad time
