Chleo D. Boyer

Chleo D. Boyer age 89 passed away January 20, 2010 at the Legacy Home in South Jordan, Utah. She was born March 22, 1920 in Heyburn, Idaho to Frank and Vendla Durfee. She married John Boyer December 23, 1939 in Salt Lake, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Chleo was active in the church in many callings especially the MIA. She was a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers. Chleo was secretary of the Grantsville Irrigation Company for many years. She worked for Roy Soelberg in his grocery store. She also worked at the Tooele Army Depot until her retirement. She enjoyed life by traveling and dancing with her husband and love of her life, Wally. She also loved looking after her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chleo is survived by her daughter Linda (Sam) Wingfield and son Wayne Boyer; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers Cyril and Lowell. She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson Jeffrey Boyer; four brothers Mark, Marion, Kenneth, and Jay. Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 23. Interment Grantsville City Cemetery.
