James Verdi Sutton, passed away Oct. 17, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah, from complications of surgery. He was born Dec. 28, 1927 in Grantsville, to Verdi G. Sutton and Margaret Boyer. He attended Grantsville Elementary and High School. He played football and basketball. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1948-1952. He was married three times. Jim and Vivian had four boys, Mike, Steve (Ann) of Cheyenne, WY, Don of Salt Lake City and Doug (Gay Lynn) of Grantsville. He has 4 grandchildren & 2 great grandsons. He married Elouise and no children of this marriage 4 Stepchildren. Jim met and married Viola N. Runyan on June 29, 1984, no children of this marriage. He has 8 step-children from this marriage, Christina (Jack) Erhart of Gresham, OR, Bonnie (David) Edwards of Manti, Catherine (Leon) Beals of Manti, Ronald Cobb, Linda Goodman of Clackamas, OR, Calvin Cobb, Sandra Newman of Blacy, OR. Several grandchildren (28), Great grandchildren (23) and 4 coming. Jim is survived by his wife Viola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and 2 sisters. Services will be Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at 1:00 at the LDS Chapel on 81 N. Church Street in Granstville with a viewing from 11:30-12:30 before services. There will be no grave services.

Dear Uncle Jim,
I never got the chance to say goodbye until we meet again, so I will say it now.
Dear Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband and father/Grandfather. He was and awesome man. He is in good company now, With his two other sisters and his mother and father and others that were awaiting his arrival.
May God bless each one of you with all the things you stand in need of at this time of loss.
