Berniece Warner Russell

Berniece Warner Russell passed away Monday, September 28, 2009, after recently celebrating her 99th birthday. Berniece was born September 3, 1910, in Payson, Utah, to Willard L. and Christeen McClellan Ellertson. She married George LeRoy Warner on March 6, 1930, in the Manti Temple; and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1965. She married E. A. (Teen) Russell on May 26, 1969. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1988. She is survived by her children — Georgia Poulson (Don), S. ElVon Warner (Carol), and Douglas E. Warner (Mary). She has 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Berniece has been active in her community holding many church and community positions. In the LDS Church she has served in the Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School, and Mutual and was very active in the singles organization in the church. In the community she has served as President of the Senior Citizens, was a tour guide for many years, served as President of Business and Professional Women’s Club and as President of Tooele Women’s Club. Berniece worked as a nurse at the Tooele Valley Hospital, Cottonwood Maternity Hospital, Cottonwood Hospital, and in the Midvale office of Drs. Wright and Young. She also worked for Robert Wassom in his dental office.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009, at the Tooele 8th Ward Building Chapel, 196 North Pinehurst, at 11 a.m., preceded by a viewing in the Relief Society room at 10 a.m.
