Jade Lin Douglas, 48, slipped the chains of earthly bonds to soar with eagles May 19, 2009.  He is survived by his wife, Robin Theresa Douglas, and his son, Logan Jade Douglas (6).  Jade was a wonderful and amazing man.  He loved life with passion, joy and enthusiasm.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hiking in the Southern Utah backcountry, scuba diving, biking, travel, photography and sharing his love with everyone he met.  Jade never met a person he didn’t call a friend.  His compassion, kindness, love and joy will never be forgotten.  He always saw the good in everyone and everything. His laughter and his hugs will be missed by all of us who knew him.  Jade was an amazing father, patient, gentle and kind.  His family was his greatest joy.  He was Logan’s best friend and playmate.  Jade, we love you and we will miss you.  Until we meet again, good bye Adventure Man.  A viewing will be held at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, UT, Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 4-6.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heritage West Credit Union in the name of Logan Douglas.

I wanted to extend my condolences to the family of Mr. Douglas. Though I did not know him personally I do know what it is like to lose someone in death. I have found much comfort from the scriptures in times such as this. For instance, in John 5:28,29 we read of the promise that Christ Jesus gave of a resurrection of those who have passed away. Also, in Revelation 21:3,4 we see that soon death will be done away with completely! I sincerely hope that these bring you comfort in your time of sorrow, as they have me.
    With Deep Sympathy,
    Becky Lynn
